Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands release date teased in the first trailer for Borderlands Spinoff
It has dragons! And magic! And machine guns!
Gearbox officially has the trailer for. released Tiny Tina’s wonderland, confirms the existence of a Borderland Spin-off inspired by medieval fantasy. Focusing on the fans’ favorite character, Tiny Tina, Wonderlands is a standalone shooter that is not directly linked to the plot of the main franchise and has plenty of room to become its own unique game.
The trailer was presented at yesterday’s Summer Game Fest conference, at the Gearbox founders Randy Pitchford also revealed more about the gameplay of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. As with the main Borderlands series, the spinoff will be a shooter that gives the player a lot of weapons. In keeping with the fantasy tradition in video games, however, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will allow deep character customization as each character can fit into multiple classes instead of being stuck in a predefined class as is the case in Borderlands.
As in Borderlands 2‘s D&D inspired DLC Tiny Tina’s attack on Dragon Hold, Wonderlands will put Tiny Tina in control of the game, changing the rules and changing history. It’s not yet known how this directly affects gameplay in Wonderlands, but it’s certainly a nice idea that can be turned into a great game. The thought of blowing up ancient dragons with rocket launchers is a mystical task that is also causing a hype. Tiny Tinas Wonderlands promises to bring the best of Borderlands while adding a twist to the franchise.

Pitchford also revealed that the game has been in development for 10 years, more than enough time to take it to perfection. How Pitchford describes the project:
“It’s a dream come true to bring real Borderlands weapons to battle dragons, skeletons, goblins and more in an original fantasy world that the deadliest thirteen year old in the galaxy, Tiny Tina, envisioned as a new, fully functional AAA video game come true. ”
Ashly Burch returns as Tiny Tina’s voice, in a cast of newcomers Andy Samberg as Captain Valentin, Wanda Sykes as a robot named Frette, and Will Arnett as a dragon lord. According to Gearbox, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands includes a campaign, four player co-op, and enough endgame content to keep players entertained for a long time.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S in early 2022. Check out the Tiny Tinas Wonderlands trailer below:
