Ticket to Paradise will bring George Clooney and Julia Roberts back to cinemas in fall 2022
Finally reunited. Ticket To Paradise, an upcoming romantic dramedy starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts, will be released on September 30, 2022. In the film announced this February, George Clooney and Julia Roberts will reunite after hit hits like Ocean’s Eleven and its sequel Ocean’s Twelve.
The film’s release date of September 30th next year would put it on the release board a week after Puss In Boots: The Last Wish. While Ticket To Paradise is distributed exclusively by Universal Pictures, Puss In Boots: The Last Wish is a joint production by Universal and Dreamworks Animation.
After all, two films from the same studio should make a good opening for Universal. However, the as-yet-unnamed sequel to Sony’s Oscar-winning animated cartoon Spiderman: Into The Spider-Verse will be released next week. The film will also face competition from an untitled Marvel Cinematic Universe film currently being developed in partnership with Disney and due to hit theaters on October 7, 2022. Given that Ticket To Paradise is literally between two major releases, one of those Universal Studios ventures, giants like Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are likely to have box office success.
Ticket To Paradise is directed by English filmmaker Ol Parker, best known for directing The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and its sequel. In the movie, George Clooney and Julia Roberts will play an ex-couple on a fun mission to “stop their beloved daughter from making a mistake they made themselves”. Although the film is reportedly set in Bali, Variety earlier reported that the film is being shot in Queensland, Australia. The film will receive a $ 4.92 million production grandma from the Australian federal government. Whitsunday Islands, Gold Coast, and Brisbane locations will double for locations in Bali that the film aims to explore.
Further details regarding the cast and crew of Ticket To Paradise are yet to be announced, but the film has a release date and location. That said, the movie will hit the ground soon. However, given the circumstances and the situation of the ongoing pandemic, these dates may shift if things don’t go as the studio planned. Ticket To Paradise is another addition to American productions that are due to be relocated to Australia. George Miller’s three thousand year longing will also go under in Oceania, while Taika Waititi is also filming the MCU entry Thor: Love and Thunder, having previously filmed his predecessor there.
