The perfect Laurence Fishburne appearances in movie and tv, rated
Laurence Fishburne isn't an Orson Welles, and I mean that well. I am referring to the fact that Orson Welles once wore a black face and played the Moor that Desdemona married in the film version of the famous 1951 Shakespeare play. Fortunately, Laurence Fishburne plays Othello in the 1995 version, and yes, I'll admit, Laurence Fishburne is downright sexy in the role.
And while Kenneth Branagh is definitely stealing the film as Iago, Laurence Fishburne is one of the few actors I can honestly say I fully understood Shakespeare. Because yeah, I love Shakespeare and everything, but sometimes I just don't get it. And Laurence Fishburne made me understand! That's how good his performance is.
