The off obligation cop disguised as a Star Wars stormtrooper for Halloween stopped a drunk driver and there’s a video

I admit it's a bit annoying that she didn't approach the vehicle while wearing her helmet as that would have made this footage an absolute art. Still, one can only imagine what the person arrested on suspicion of DUI was thinking when they saw the stormtrooper approach their vehicle. If they weren't actually drunk behind the wheel, they probably thought it was them.

And if one of your officers pulls someone over disguised as a stormtrooper, I think you have a fundamental legal obligation to put such a video together. The crawl on the opening track is spot on and actually remarkably long, so someone really went out of their way. At the end of the clip we see the officer in her full costume, including the helmet, and the fact that she apparently dressed her dog as an Ewok, which is perfect.

While we can't hear of this exchange between the officer and the person who was run over, it must have been a little wild. Did the officer actually raise the fact that he was dressed like a stormtrooper when she spoke to the person? Was there any evidence that the person who was run over didn't believe he was actually a police officer? This whole situation could have been more than a little crazy, although it looks like everything went more or less according to the book, minus the unregulated uniform.

Most likely because it was Halloween, that interaction still felt more or less normal. Of course, now I want Stormtroopers to make regular traffic stops. If nothing else this would make the video more entertaining and likely result in the people getting tickets sucking a little less when they are run over.
