Hitmans Wifes Bodyguard Poster

The first The Hitman’s Bodyguard, released in 2017, wasn’t particularly well received by critics, but luckily it played well with the audience and ended up grossing a very healthy $ 180.6 million on a $ 30 million production budget . The positive response from the audience was due in large part to the natural chemistry and sympathy of its central stars, Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. JacksonEach of them are more than funny and talented enough to keep the movie afloat between the action set pieces. While the upcoming sequel looks more or less the same, the addition of Salma Hayek to the sequel, Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, will likely give the script a little more wiggle room and add some freshness to the duo’s repartee.

Patrick Hughes returns to the director’s chair with the Hitman’s Wife bodyguard after a script by Tom O’Connor, Brandon and Phillip Murphy. Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard was originally scheduled to be released in August 2020 but was delayed due to the ongoing global situation. The title was originally pushed back a full year, but with a recent shift in the release date, audiences will now see Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard a little earlier than expected. The film is now set to be released in the United States on June 16, 2021 by Lionsgate.
