The Boys season three provides supernatural writers and producers
As shooting continues The young Season 3 continues, a big update has come: the Amazon action comedy show team has added even more alums from The CW’s Supernatural. In case you’ve forgotten, The Boys already has some important connections with Supernatural, starting with The Boys Showrunner Eric Kripke. Before The Boys, Kripke was a writer and producer on the long-running CW show. Then, in August 2020, we reported about this supernatural star Jensen Ackles was added to the cast of the third season in the role of Soldier Boy. So what additional Supernatural alums are coming to The Boys crew?
Per Variety, The Boys added three new crew members with connections to Supernatural. The first is Meredith Glynnwho will serve as executive producer on The Boys. Previously, she was co-executive producer and author of Supernatural from 2016 to 2020 David reedwho will also serve as executive producer on The Boys. During his time at Supernatural, Reed was a writer and script coordinator from 2009-2021 Jim Michaels, who joins The Boys Season 3 as Co-Executive Producer. In addition to the growing Supernatural reunion taking place on The Boys, Kripke also released an exciting update from the season three set this week. The photo that Kripke tweeted on Saturday shows the official (fake) posters for the Justice League-inspired in-show feature film Dawn of the Seven. The shooting of the film was a major act in the second season of The Boys, with a conflict between Homelander (Antony Starr) and Starlight (Erin Moriarty) brew between shots. The fact that these movie posters will be featured in Season 3 teases the possibility that the Dawn of the Seven premiere is likely to go down in new history.
Boys Seasons 1 and 2 can now be streamed on Amazon Prime Video. The third season of the boys is currently being filmed. Check out the latest tweet from Kripke from the set of The Boys.
