Shudder Streams the Vacation Horror: December 2020 Films, TV Exhibits Revealed

Shudder ends a record year with vacation specials from two of her most popular series, exclusive new supernatural chillers, huge new collections focused on vacation horror and giallo, and more. Check out all of the classics, new films and series coming to the horror streaming service this December below.

JOE BOB RETT CHRISTMAS – December 11th at 9 p.m. ET

The Christmas cheer takes over The Last Drive-In when Joe Bob and Darcy close the year with a double attribute of holiday horror. Premieres will be posted live on the ShudderTV feed on Friday December 11th and will be made available upon request on Sunday December 13th. (Also available from Shudder Canada).

In the hour-long episode "Shapeshifters Anonymous" on the subject of vacations, a fearful man, fearful of a murderer, searches for answers to his "unique state" in an unusual self-help group. The special with Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect) and Adam Pally (The Mindy Project) is written and directed by creepshow showrunner Greg Nicotero, based on a short story by J.A. Konrath (last call). New Shudder Originals and Exclusive Movies – December 2020


After Audrey and Henry, a doctor, lose their only grandson in a car accident, they kidnap his pregnant patient with the intention of performing a "reverse exorcism" and placing Jackson in their unborn child. It doesn't take long to find out that Jackson isn't the only ghost the grandparents invited into their home. Now it is a race against time for the couple and the pregnant woman to find a way out of the hauntings they have inflicted on themselves.

Consider this wintry anti-nativity story Shudder's Christmas counter-programming from a writer (Keith Cooper) and director (Justin G. Dyck) who have made a variety of traditional vacation films together. Believe me, this is not a baby in a manger or Christmas with a prince. The pale door – December 17th

The Dalton gang find refuge in a seemingly uninhabited ghost town after a train robbery headed south. They seek help for their wounded leader and are surprised to come across an inviting brothel in the town square. But the beautiful women they greet are actually a coven with very sinister plans for the unsuspecting outlaws – and the battle between good and evil is only just beginning.
