Quavo Forged in New Film alongside Robert De Niro and John Malkovich

Migos rapper Quavo was cast in Randall Emmett's upcoming film Wash Me in the River, as Variety notes. He will portray a character named Coyote who, according to a press release, is "a ruthless and heartless drug lord". Other actors in the film include Robert De Niro, John Malkovich, and John Huston. Wash Me in the River is currently being produced in Puerto Rico.

"Quavo is a superstar and a real actor," said Randall Emmett in a statement. "Seeing him bring the Coyote character to life is very exciting and I think he will have a film career as big as his music."

Quavo added:

I honestly think this movie will be one of the greatest of this time. The experience was amazing to me when Robert De Niro and Jack Huston were so down to earth and I felt like family. I'll do a few stunts and a lot of what you hear from me in my raps! This is one of my biggest debuts I've ever had and so proud of what we did and to work with Randall who is such a great guy – can't wait to do more films with him.

Quavo, who released his debut solo album Quavo Huncho in 2018, has previously played in Narcos: Mexico, Atlanta, Black Ish, and more.
